Abstract
Abstract
The electric stove is a modern household appliance that requires an efficient and precise temperature control system to enhance heating quality. Temperature instability can affect cooking quality and energy efficiency. This study discusses the design of a temperature control system for an electric stove using a fuzzy logic control method based on Arduino Mega. The system was developed through programming in the Arduino IDE and integrated with heating elements and a type K thermocouple temperature sensor for real-time temperature measurement. Fuzzy logic was chosen for its ability to handle uncertain and dynamic data, resulting in stable and responsive temperature control. The system is designed to operate automatically without manual intervention, improving user comfort and safety. Test results show that the system can maintain the stove's operating temperature with high accuracy, fast response time, and low overshoot. Increasing the temperature setpoint from 60°C to 100°C caused the stabilization time to rise from 6 minutes to 14 minutes. Temperature fluctuations also increased, from 58.0°C–61.0°C at 60°C to 97.8°C–102.5°C at 100°C. The average duty cycle decreased from 60% to 42%. These findings indicate that the control system operates efficiently and consistently, despite increased control challenges at higher temperatures.
