Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy, structure, and governance of the buzzer team in the digital political campaign for the 2024 Ponorogo Regency Regional Head Election, specifically that run by candidate pair number 01. The use of social media as an arena for political contestation encourages the organized use of buzzers to build candidate images, shape public opinion, and manage political narratives in the digital space. This study focuses on the buzzer work patterns, the team's organizational structure, and their roles in spreading pro-candidate propaganda, conducting political framing, and influencing the dynamics of public opinion. This study uses a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and content analysis of social media content, with the cyber troops theory as an analytical framework. The results show that the buzzer team works in a structured manner with a clear division of roles, intense coordination, and an adaptive digital communication strategy. These findings confirm the significant role of buzzers in digital political campaigns, while also indicating ethical challenges to the quality of local democracy in the digital era.
