Abstract
Nafis Azizaturrosyidah. Analisis Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika pada Materi Persamaan Garis Lurus Ditinjau dari Taksonomi SOLO. Skripsi. Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Pembimbing 1 Dr. Sumaji, M.Pd., Pembimbing 2 Uki Suhendar, M.Pd.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika pada materi persamaan garis lurus ditinjau dari Taksonomi SOLO. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di MTsN 1 Ponorogo. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 6 siswa kelas VIII E, yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu dua siswa dari setiap level yang ditemukan, sebagai subjek wawancara. Sumber data didapat dari tes soal dan wawancara yang dilakukan secara mendalam kepada subjek yang dipilih. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri sebagai instrumen utama, dengan bantuan tes soal dan pedoman wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk memastikan kebenaran data, digunakan metode triangulasi.
Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa berada pada level unistruktural, yaitu hanya mampu menggunakan satu konsep sederhana dan belum bisa menghubungkan beberapa konsep untuk menyelesaikan masalah secara lengkap. Dari 22 siswa, terdapat 7 siswa (31,82%) berada di tingkat prastruktural, 13 siswa (59,09%) di tingkat unistruktural, dan 2 siswa (9,09%) di tingkat multistruktural, sedangkan tidak ada siswa yang mencapai level relasional maupun extended abstract. Siswa level prastruktural belum memahami maksud soal maupun cara penyelesaiannya, siswa level unistruktural baru mampu menentukan satu persamaan garis namun belum bisa melanjutkan ke persamaan lain yang dibutuhkan, sedangkan siswa level multistruktural mampu menentukan beberapa persamaan garis dan menerapkan konsep garis sejajar maupun tegak lurus, tetapi belum memahami cara menentukan titik potong dua garis untuk menyelesaikan soal secara tuntas.

This study aims to describe students' mathematical problem-solving skills in linear equations as viewed through the SOLO Taxonomy. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach and was conducted at MTsN 1 Ponorogo. The subjects of this study were six eighth-grade students from Class VIII E, selected using purposive sampling-specifically, two students from each identified level to serve as interview subjects. Data sources were obtained from test questions and in-depth interviews conducted with the selected subjects. Data collection techniques included tests, interviews, and documentation. The primary instrument used in this study was the researcher themselves, supplemented by test questions and interview guidelines. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To ensure data validity, the triangulation method was employed.
The study revealed that the majority of students were at the unistructural level, meaning they were only able to apply a single simple concept and were not yet able to connect multiple concepts to solve problems comprehensively. Of the 22 students, 7 (31.82%) were at the pre-structural level, 13 (59.09%) at the unistructural level, and 2 (9.09%) at the multistructural level, while no students reached the relational or extended abstract levels. Students at the pre-structural level did not yet understand the intent of the problem or how to solve it, students at the unistructural level were only able to determine one equation of a line but could not proceed to the other equations required, whereas students at the multistructural level were able to determine several equations of lines and apply the concepts of parallel and perpendicular lines, but did not yet understand how to determine the point of intersection of two lines to solve the problem completely.
