Restorative justice is an approach to resolving criminal cases that prioritizes the recovery of victims' losses and the accountability of offenders. This study aims to analyze the implementation of restorative justice in resolving traffic accident cases at the police and prosecution levels. The method used is normative juridical research by examining relevant laws and regulations. The results show that at the police level, restorative justice is implemented during the investigation stage based on Police Regulation No. 8 of 2021, while at the prosecution level, it is implemented during the prosecution stage based on Attorney General Regulation No. 15 of 2020. Its implementation may be carried out when the prescribed requirements are met, including the existence of a settlement agreement and the recovery of the victim's losses. Therefore, restorative justice can serve as an alternative approach to resolving traffic accident cases in a more equitable and humane manner while continuing to uphold legal certainty and consider the interests of society.
