Abstract
Formal education such as schools or madrasas is a place to learn and gain knowledge that has learning activities, one of which is extracurricular which is an additional learning activity to expand students' knowledge and experience outside of class hours. Extracurricular programs have the same goals as intracurricular activities, namely an increase in student achievement. However, this is still not maximized by educational institutions so that in its implementation it is not enough to have much impact on student achievement. This study aims to describe or describe the use of extracurricular programs at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah 6 Nglegok Ponorogo in order to improve student achievement from the implementation of extracurricular programs and whether the implementation of this extracurricular program is effective in order to provide student achievement at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah 6 Nglegok Ponorogo or not. The formulation of the problem in this study is how big is the influence of this extracurricular program on student achievement of MI Muhammadiyah 6 Nglegok Ponorogo. Meanwhile, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of the extracurricular program on student achievement at MI Muhammadiyah 6 Nglegok Ponorogo. The research method used is quantitative, with a population of 96 students and a sample of 30 students who take part in MTQ extracurricular activities. Data collection is done by using the technique of distributing questionnaires and documentation. The data is then analyzed using Descriptive Statistics and Prerequisite Analysis. The findings in this study are (1) showing that the extracurricular program has a relatively moderate effect on student achievement at MI Muhammadiyah 6 Nglegok Ponorogo. This can be seen from the results of grouping the learning achievements of students participating in the MTQ extracurricular program, namely the medium category as much as 80%. (2) shows that there is a positive influence between the extracurricular programs implemented and student achievement at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah 6 Nglegok Ponorogo. This can be seen by the magnitude of the coefficient of determination H (R Square), where the magnitude is 0.136. This means that the influence of extracurricular programs on student achievement is 13.6%.
