Abstract
ABSTRACT EFFECTIVENESS OF ROLE PLAY SIMULATION METHOD ON INCREASING KNOWLEDGE OF FIRST AID INJURY IN STUDENTS OF HIGH SCHOOL 1 MUHAMMADIYAH PONOROGO kartikaabadi1999@gmail.com By : Eko Bayu Prakoso Lack of knowledge of students about injuries and proper treatment. So that it is necessary for non-medical members who have the ability and knowledge of first aid for injuries, therefore researchers apply the Role Play simulation method to increase students' knowledge in the school environment so that students can act as non-medical members who can provide first aid for injuries. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the role-play simulation method in increasing knowledge of first-aid injuries in SMA 1 Muhammadiya Ponorogo students. The research design was quasi-experimental through pre-test and post-test with a population of 176 SMA 1 Muhammadiyah Ponorogo students. Sampling uses the solving total sampling formula, namely 70 students. Furthermore, it was analyzed through the Wilcoxon test to compare the level of knowledge before and after the intervention, namely in the form of a first-aid role-play simulation for injuries. Meanwhile, data were analyzed by Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test with a p-value <0.05. The results of this study showed that in 70 samples before the intervention was carried out, the student's poor category was 70%, and after the intervention was in a good category, 38.6%. Through bivariate analysis, the p-value obtained is (0.000)<α(0.05). Thus, the effectiveness of the role-play simulation method for increasing first aid knowledge of injuries is effectively applied in the process of increasing the knowledge of SMA 1 Muhammadiyah Ponorogo students. can get better results.
