Abstract
This study aims to analyze visual identity in K-pop culture and its influence on fans in Indonesia using imitation affirmation theory. Visual identity in K-pop involves the style of dress, hair, make-up, and accessories worn by artists, which are then imitated by fans. Imitation reinforcement theory explains how fans tend to imitate the appearance of artists they admire. In this research, a qualitative approach was used which utilized the case study method. Data were collected through interviews with K-pop fans and visual content analysis of K-pop artists through photos, music videos, and appearances at public events. The data was then analyzed using content analysis to identify key themes related to visual identity and the reinforcement of imitation. The aim of this research is to generate a deeper understanding of how visual identity in K-pop culture influences Indonesian fans and reinforces the phenomenon of imitation. In this context, factors such as dress style, hair, make-up and accessories will be studied in depth to understand their role in shaping K-pop visual identity and its influence on fans.
