Abstract
In carrying out tourism management, communication is very useful for building relationships with government to determine policies that are reached by consensus. Government relations has an important position for local wisdom-based tourism activists to create harmony between organizations and the government. This research aims to determine the reputation management of Dhoplang Market in maintaining its image as a unique and famous traditional culinary tourist attraction in the eyes of the public. This research uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research reveal that Dhoplang Market culinary tourism managers apply three government relations approach tactics in resolving problems related to communication efforts regarding the conversion and inauguration of tourist attractions by the tourism office, namely by lobbying, negotiation and corporate approachment. The Dhoplang Market Manager maintains good government relations and is an important factor because tourism is part of government authority.
