Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus is included in the category of chronic diseases that occur in the pancreas which is not effective in producing insulin or glands which can change blood sugar or glucose) or the body is not effective in using the insulin that has been produced. Hyperglycemia is one of the complications of diabetes mellitus. Hyperglycemia in the long term can cause disruption of peripheral tissue perfusion. The aim of this case study is to determine nursing care for clients with diabetes mellitus. The research method used is case study research with descriptive writing. The research was conducted in the Mawar Room at RSUD dr. Harjono Ponorogo in April 2024 with the nursing problem of risk of ineffective peripheral perfusion, the nursing process which includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and nursing evaluation. The results of the assessment showed that the patient felt numbness, tingling. Based on the data analysis, the intervention used is foot and nail care, nursing actions taken include monitoring the presence of parasthesia, providing education. After carrying out nursing actions for 3 days, peripheral perfusion results increased. Evaluation results showed the risk of ineffective peripheral perfusion associated with hyperglycemia was resolved. It is hoped that nursing care for Diabetes Mellitus patients with nursing problems at risk of ineffective peripheral perfusion can be used as a reference for providing care and preventing problems at risk of ineffective peripheral perfusion. Key words : Diabetes Mellitus, Risiko Perfusi Perifer.
