Abstract

This study aims to determine how significant the influence of parenting patterns is on the learning achievement of grade V students in IPAS subjects at SD Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. The learning achievement of grade V students in IPAS subjects at SD Muhammadiyah Ponorogo shows significant differences, some are in the very high to very low categories. One solution to the problem is the role of parents. Parents as the first and main educators greatly influence the way children develop. Parents with good parenting can understand children's needs, so they can pay more attention to their children's learning achievement. This study uses quantitative research methods with ex post facto research types and nonprobability sampling techniques using purposive sampling (samples with certain criteria). The population of this study were all 5th grade students totaling 127 students with a research sample of 96 students and data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study used statistical data analysis tests with the help of the SPSS version 25 computer program. Based on the results of hypothesis testing with linear regression analysis, the significance value is 0,029 < 0,05, so the results of this study show that parental parenting has a significant effect on student learning achievement. So it can be concluded that parental parenting has a positive and significant influence on the learning achievement of grade V students in IPAS subjects at SD Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, with a contribution of 5%. This means that the better the parenting style, the higher the learning achievement of fifth grade students in IPAS subjects at the school.
