Abstract
ABSTRAC SCIENTIFIC WORKS: NURSING CARE OF DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS WITH INEFFECTIVE PERFUSION OF PERIPHERAL PERFUSION By : DIMAS ANDRE YANSAH 20613382 Diabetes mellitus or commonly called DM is a disease caused by a lack of insulin and causes metabolic disorders characterized by hyperglycemia associated with abnormalities in carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism, prolonged hyperglycemia will cause atherosclerosis, thickening of the basement membrane and changes in the peripheral nerves and cause gangrene, this causes damage to the integrity of the skin. This case study research aims to carry out nursing care for clients with Diabetes Mellitus. This case study uses data collection methods by interview, observation, and documentation study. The research subject was conducted on one client with ineffective peripheral perfusion problems in patients diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus. Nursing actions to deal with clients include assessment, data analysis, nursing diagnoses, nursing interventions, nursing implementation, and evaluation contained in nursing care. The results of the case study research showed that clients with DM who had problems with ineffective Peripheral perfusion nursing had the main complaint of feeling weak, feeling uncomfortable because the wound did not improve on the sole of the right foot. Laboratory examination results found signs of increased blood sugar levels. The conclusion from the results of this case study research is that in nursing care for clients with DM the main nursing problem that must be resolved is circulation care because insulin in the body is inadequate so that blood flow to the legs is reduced and results in ineffective peripheral perfusion. Keywords: Ineffective Peripheral Perfusion, Diabetes Mellitus
