Abstract

Violent behavior is a maladaptive response to anger due to the client’s inability to overcome his environmental condotions. This case study aims to provide mental nursing care for schizophrenia patients with nursing problems risk of violent behavior. Mental nursing care is provided at RSJD Dr. Arif Zainudin Surakarta for 4 days in February 2024. The method in preparing this scientific paper uses a case study design, namely the (problem solving) method with a nursing process approach. The result of the assesment showed that the patient had schizophrenia with nursing problem, a risk of violent behavior, characterized by the patient appearing to pace back and forth, shrap eyes, tense facial expressions and curth speech. Nursing actions given for the nursing problem of risk of violent behavior in Mr. S is to carry out a strategy for implementing I deep breathing axercise, a strategy for implementing 2 pillow hitting exercises, a strategy for implementing 3 exercises to control anger verbally and also carrying out progressive muscle relaxation therapy. Mental Nursing care for schizophrenic patients with nursing problems at risk of violent behavior is expected to increase knowledge in terms of solving problems, especially for patients at risk of violent behavior with implementation strategies and also progressive muscle relaxation therapy.
