Abstract

ABSTRACT Data mining is the process of analyzing a collection of data to obtain useful knowledge. The application of data mining has become something common in society, especially to support business activities and relationships. For companies engaged in business and trade such as pharmacies, data tends to be a lot every day. The larger amount of sales transaction data, if it is not utilized as well as possible, will only become data stored in the data warehouse so that it becomes ineffective. Therefore we need an application that can process large amounts of data in order to provide useful knowledge for users. The Data Mining application using the a priori algorithm makes it easier to manage data processing as well as being used to analyze the collection of transaction data contained in the database. The system can process analytical calculation data in certain months and years and then display the results of the analysis in the form of patterns of sales of goods. The results of the analysis were obtained after the data set was previously processed by the system based on a certain level of confidence. The level of trust is determined through minimum support and minimum confidence, so that it can be seen the level of relevance of products that have been sold that can assist users in making decisions.
