Abstract

Aluminum casting is a technical method by mixing several chemical elements that function to see some of the right compositions to
increase the mechanical strength value of the aluminum. To improve the properties of aluminum combined with other elements,
namely aluminum, copper and brass. The technique used in this study uses the centrifugal casting technique. Then the study was
conducted using two tests, namely hardness tests and tensile tests. The materials used in this study were components that were no
longer used such as used pans made of aluminum. From the research that I have done, the tensile stress results of the brass variation
aluminum were 160.9 MPa, in the copper variation the value was 130.7 MPa. The hardness of aluminum will increase along with the
addition of brass and copper elements, the average value of copper variation aluminum and brass variation aluminum increased by
70 BHN. The increase in hardness value is due to the alloy of brass and copper element powders, so that when the material variation
will be re-cast it produces high density.
