Abstract
The closeness of parents and children is very important, especially when the child is still at an early age. The relationship between parents and children is a very close relationship, where parents care for, educate and raise their children with love. In the relationship between parents and children, rights and obligations arise. However, incorrect parenting patterns can also cause problems with a child's physical development, such as depression, low self-confidence, and also being vulnerable to committing criminal acts, which in fact is one of the impacts of inappropriate parenting patterns on children. Because sometimes some parents don't understand how to educate young children so that they remain close but also independent. Therefore, researchers want to learn together about good parenting methods, especially for kindergarten age children.
This research uses qualitative methods, namely data obtained from opinions, views or other expressions of thought obtained through interviews. In this case, the methods used are observation, interviews or conversations, and documentation. Meanwhile, the subjects in this research include: supervising teachers, parents and students. They are used as informant subjects because researchers consider them competent to provide information or data that is closely related to the problem being studied.
The results of the research show that: (1) The closeness of parents to the independence of children at 'Aisyiyah Sawoo Kindergarten is obtained from the parents' habit of educating, guiding and teaching children at home to carry out their own activities (2) Lack of children's self-confidence in the environment and friends at school also encourage children to do activities at school such as eating, doing their homework alone, namely building reliable routines, providing emotional support, and helping children feel safe in the school environment can help them overcome anxiety about being separated from their parents. (3) Knowing the motivation that has been carried out by giving gifts in the form of rewards, snacks and stars to students, as well as holding parenting training with parents of students regarding early childhood independence
