Abstract

Worship is an obligation for humans because it is the command of Allah SWT. Adolescent children need encouragement from outside so that discipline in worship can be attached to them. This encouragement can be done through the closest people, for example the role of parents and the role of teachers. When at home, parents are the controllers and drivers of the growth of the discipline character of worship, and if at school then the teacher replaces the role of parents. This study was conducted to examine the influence of the role of parents and teachers on the discipline of worship of MA AL-Mukarrom students in Kauman District, Ponorogo Regency.
This type of research is descriptive quantitative. This research was conducted to examine the influence between two independent variables, namely the role of parents (X1) and the role of teachers (X2) and one dependent variable, namely the discipline of student worship (Y). The data collection technique used in this research is through questionnaires to find out data about the role of parents, the role of teachers, and discipline of worship. The research instrument is a questionnaire sheet consisting of 18 statement items on the role of parents, 16 statement items on the role of teachers, and 18 statement items on discipline of worship. After the construct validity test was conducted, the result was that there was one invalid statement item each in the parent role and teacher role questionnaires. The three questionnaires met the reliability criteria with Cronbach's Alpha scores of 0.873, 0.810 and 0.630 respectively for the questionnaires on the role of parents, the role of teachers, and discipline of worship. Hypothesis testing used multiple linear regression analysis and F test.
The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant influence between the role of parents and teachers on the discipline of worship of MA AL-Mukarrom students in Kauman District, Ponorogo Regency. With the results of the regression model obtained in the form of Y = 45.442 + 0.091 (X1) + 0.318 (X2) + e, where Y is the worship discipline variable, X1 is the parent role variable, and X2 is the teacher role variable. The F test results also provide a Sig value. = 0.003, meaning that the role of parents and teachers simultaneously affects the discipline of worship of MA Al-Mukarrom students. Based on the determination test, it is also concluded that the two independent variables affect 21.4% of the discipline of worship. This means that the role of parents and teachers is quite a big influence as an encouragement from external parties on the discipline of student worship. Worship in this study is limited to the context of praying, reciting the Quran and giving alms. This selection is with the consideration that these three include daily worship, which can be carried out both at home and at school.
