Abstract

Classroom management is a crucial aspect in creating a conducive learning environment and supporting optimal student learning outcomes. In the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), teachers are required not only to deliver material but also to create a positive and effective learning atmosphere. This study aims to determine the influence of classroom management on student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMPN 2 Ponorogo.
This study used a quantitative approach with an associative analytical design and simple linear regression. A sample of 175 seventh-grade students was selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using a Likert-scale classroom management questionnaire and documentation of learning outcomes. Data analysis was performed using a simple linear regression test with the help of SPSS version 22.
The results showed a significant relationship between classroom management and student learning outcomes. The regression test demonstrated a significance value (p < 0.05) with a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.478, indicating that 47.8% of the variation in learning outcomes can be explained by classroom management. These findings indicate that the better the teacher's classroom management, the higher the student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI).
This study concludes that classroom management significantly influences student learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers and the school are expected to pay greater attention to classroom management as a strategy to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMPN 2 Ponorogo.
