Rofii’ah, Binti. 2025. Implementation of the Muhadharah Program in Improving the Discipline and Creativity of Students at the Salafiyah Wustho Hasan Munadi Islamic Boarding School in Ponorogo.Thesis. The lack of discipline among students is the cause of the low quality of education in Indonesia. Based on the findings of research by Septianingrum et al., in 2020, at a high school in Pati, Central Java, students were found to have low discipline in online learning. Low learning discipline was demonstrated by students rarely studying every day at home, rarely participating in online learning activities on time or until completion, and forgetting their responsibility to complete their homework on time.
The objectives of this study are 1) to analyze the implementation of the Muhadharah program in improving the discipline and creativity of students, 2) to analyze the role of Muhadharah in improving discipline and creativity, and 3) to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study recommends that a regular and consistent Muhadharah program can improve the discipline and creativity of students.
This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach in the form of field research. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis technique involves data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification.
The results of this study are as follows: 1) The Muhadharah Program is a flagship program at this institution that all students are required to participate in. It is held every Saturday from 7:30 AM until completion. The program is conducted on a rotating basis by representatives from each class according to a predetermined schedule. 2) The Muhadharah Program plays a crucial role in fostering discipline and creativity among students. 3) Supporting factors include the involvement of competent educators, consistency and routine in program implementation, and a conducive learning environment. Hindering factors include lack of interest and motivation among students, reliance on monotonous teaching methods, time constraints, feelings of fear and shame, insufficient creativity-focused learning, and lack of facilities/resources.
