Local culture is a unique regional identity that needs to be maintained through the strategic
role of education in the era of globalization. The influence of foreign cultures spread
through technology and social media makes strengthening local culture an important need
for the younger generation to maintain its existence. This study aims to: (1) analyze the
strategy for strengthening Ponorogo's local culture through the implementation of the
Nusantara project learning model, (2) describe the obstacles faced in implementing the
strategy for strengthening Ponorogo's local culture through the Nusantara project learning
model.

Local culture is a unique regional identity that needs to be maintained through the
strategic role of education in the era of globalization. The influence of foreign cultures
spread through technology and social media makes strengthening local culture an important
need for the younger generation to maintain its existence. This study aims to: (1) analyze
the strategy for strengthening Ponorogo's local culture through the Nusantara project
learning model, (2) describe the obstacles faced in the strategy for strengthening Ponorogo's
local culture through the Nusantara project learning model.

The results of the study indicate that the strategy for strengthening Ponorogo's local
culture through the Nusantara project learning model is carried out in 3 stages, namely:
planning, implementation, and assessment. Obstacles faced in the strategy for
strengthening Ponorogo's local culture through the Nusantara project learning model
include limited learning time and optimization of learning resource media. This study
provides an overview of the strategy for strengthening local culture in the context of Reog
Ponorogo and karawitan through the Nusantara project learning model which has the
potential to be an alternative, as well as optimization of learning media in the Pancasila
Education subject.
