Abstract

ABSTRACT
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BURNOUT AND HEALTHCARE PERFORMANCE IN THE OUTPATIENT INSTALLATION OF 'AISYIYAH GENERAL HOSPITAL, PONOROGO

By: Herlin Widoretno Cahyani

Burnout is physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged involvement in emotionally demanding situations. Burnout is often considered a major trigger for decreased productivity. Healthcare worker performance is the overall work results achieved by a healthcare worker in providing care in accordance with their clinical authority. This study aims to determine the relationship between burnout and healthcare worker performance in the outpatient installation of 'Aisyiyah General Hospital.
This study used a correlation method with the Spearman rank correlation statistical test. The instrument used in this study was the MBI questionnaire to measure burnout, while the performance assessment used secondary data obtained from the performance assessment results at 'Aisyiyah General Hospital, Ponorogo. Sampling was conducted using a total sampling technique with 32 respondents. A total of 62.5% of respondents (78.1%) had moderate burnout. However, the majority of respondents (78.1%) performed in the "Good" category. This demonstrates that operationally, they were still capable of carrying out organizational duties and responsibilities according to established standards.
The Spearman Rank Correlation test yielded a p-value of 0.640, indicating a pvalue >0.05 with a correlation coefficient of -0.86. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between burnout and the performance of healthcare workers in the Outpatient Unit of Aisyiyah General Hospital, Ponorogo.
It can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between burnout and the performance of outpatient health workers at Aisyiyah Hospital, Ponorogo, because health workers are still able to maintain their performance even though they are in a state of severe mental fatigue, especially influenced by the work period factor.
