Abstract

A nation's development must prioritize the health of its children. Chronic malnutrition during pregnancy and the first 1000 days of life results in stunting. The Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) predicts that in Ponorogo Regency, the prevalence will drop from 21% in 2021 to 14.2% in 2022. In the meantime, the prevalence fell to 13.1% in 2023. cross-sectional design observational analytical study employing a quantitative methodology. Five Ponorogo Regency villages—Karangpatihan Village, Binade Village, Paringan Village, Wagir Kidul Village, and Pudak Wetan Village—were the sites of the research. With 105 respondents, the study's population consisted of toddlers aged 12-59 months. Both univariate and bivariate analysis were employed in the data analysis process. The findings indicated that there was a correlation between toddler stunting incidence and family income (p=0.003<0.05), but not between toddler stunting incidence and access to drinking water (p=0.456>0.05), toddler stunting incidence and family latrine ownership (p=0.502>0.05), toddler stunting incidence and social assistance (p=0.842>0.05), and toddler stunting incidence and health service insurance (p=0.044<0.05).To reduce stunting, the government is advised to strengthen health insurance, implement an intervention family income increase program, and assess the efficacy of social assistance.
