Apriyani, Yenti. 2024. The Strategy of Formation of Religious Character of 6th Grade Santri of Activity-Based Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (case study of MI PAS Baitul Qur'an Gontor Ponorogo). Thesis S1 Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education. Supervisor (I) Dr. Rido Kurnianto, M.Ag and Supervisor (II) Dr. Aldo Redho Syam, M.Pd.I.

MI PAS Baitul Qur'an Gontor Ponorogo is an educational institution in Ponorogo Regency that focuses on character education based on the Qur'an and Hadith of the Gontory spirit. This institution is well known in shaping the religious character of students through its various programs. Therefore, this school implements an activity-based education strategy to shape the religious character of students.

The objectives of this study are: (1) to describe the strategy of forming the religious character of 6th grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah based on activities at MI PAS Baitul Qur'an Gontor Ponorogo. (2) to know the results of the formation of religious character of 6th grade students of activity-based Madrasah Ibtidaiya at MI PAS Baitul Qur'an Gontor Ponorogo.

This research uses a qualitative method with a case study research type. Data collection in this study was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research data sources consist of primary data obtained from observations, interviews with the principal, grade 6 homeroom teacher, waka kepesantrenan, and santri, as well as documentation.

The results of this study indicate that (1) the activity-based 6th grade santri religious character formation strategy that has been implemented at MI PAS Baitul Qur'an Gontor Ponorogo consists of five strategies, namely habituation, discipline, exemplary, internalization and creation of a conducive milieu; and (2) the results of the formation of religious character of 6th grade students based on activities at MI PAS Baitul Qur'an Gontor Ponorogo, as follows (a) students are able to show an attitude of discipline in everyday life; (b) students are able to apply an attitude of independence in various activities; (c) students are able to be polite in their behavior; (d) students are able to familiarize themselves with being honest in dealing; and (e) students are able to be responsible for themselves and other activities.
