SCIENTIFIC WRITING: MENTAL NURSING CARE FOR SCHIZOPHRENIA PATIENTS WITH VISUAL HALLUCINATION NURSING PROBLEMS

Visual hallucinations are hallucinations that involve the sense of sight, as if seeing an object but in fact the object is not in front of it. The importance of efforts to reduce visual hallucinations is to reduce the symptoms of schizophrenia. This case study aims to provide mental nursing care to schizophrenic patients with nursing problems with visual hallucinations.
Psychiatric nursing care for schizophrenic patients with nursing problems of visual hallucinations was carried out from 9 February to 12 February 2024 in the Larasati Room at RSJD dr. Arif Zainuddin Surakarta for 4 days. The method used is a nursing process approach starting from assessment to evaluation.
The results of the study in this scientific paper showed that the client saw the image of a fireball floating around him when the client was alone and when he was daydreaming, the client experienced sensory perception disorders: Visual Hallucinations. Nursing actions taken include teaching Implementation Strategies 1 to 4 for 4 days.
Mental nursing care for schizophrenia patients with visual hallucinations nursing problems is expected to be an illustration for nurses, especially in handling patients who experience visual hallucinations by teaching implementation strategies.
