This thesis is entitled "Public Relations Activities in Charity Activities at Aisyiyah
Ponorogo General Hospital for Social Community". This is motivated by the aim
of the Aisyiyah Ponorogo General Hospital, namely to make the public more
familiar with the 'Aisyiyah Ponorogo General Hospital. Apart from that, this
activity is also one of the programs that has been planned. Because this activity is
carried out externally at a hospital in a certain area and the implementation
process will involve the surrounding community. And this activity is a manifestation
of the 'Aisyiyah Ponorogo General Hospital's concern for the people who need this
assistance. The aim of this research is to describe the public relations activities
carried out by the 'Aisyiyah Ponorogo General Hospital in the community through
these social activities. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive
type, data collection methods using observation, interviews and documentation.
The results of this research show that the public relations activities carried out by
the 'Aisyiyah Ponorogo General Hospital are in accordance with the theory
presented by the researcher, namely structuration theory (Anthony Giddens) where
the Aisyiyah Ponorogo General Hospital plays the role of agent because it is the
one who creates the work program for these activities. Meanwhile, the community
plays a role as a structure that carries out the actions of the program created by
the agent. Here the role of agents and structures influence each other.
