Abstract

Stress can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or situation. Every individual is susceptible to experiencing stress in their life. Therefore, exercise becomes a more effective strategy in dealing with stress, because it can increase the production of endorphins, hormones that play a role in increasing feelings of happiness. The study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and gymnasium exercise activity at King Fitness Ponorogo.
The study was conducted cross-sectionally, the results of 120 research members using purposive sampling who were members of the King Fitness gymnasium from 120 were taken, some of the results obtained were 55 respondents, data was taken using a questionnaire instrument. With data analysis Data Entry, Data Cleaning, Variable Classification, and Significant Test.
The results of the study showed that as many as 16 respondents or 29.1% with severe stress levels, and as many as 12 respondents or 21.8% of respondents with mild and moderate levels. While gymnasium training is known to be 31 people active or 56.4% of respondents, and as many as 24 or 43.6% of respondents who are not active in gymnasium training. statistical test with the chi-square method at a confidence level of 95% (0.05) to determine whether there is a statistically significant relationship, data from each subvariable is entered into a table and then compared between the P-value and alpha value (0.05) obtained the probability result p value Chi-Square = 0.020 so that it can be concluded that there is a Relationship Between Stress Levels and Exercise at King Fitness Ponorogo.
