Postoperative hypothermia occurs as a surgical effect when anesthetic drugs and prolonged skin exposure during surgery, and will result in disturbances in normal temperature. This study aims to determine the effect of giving warm compresses (hotpacks) on increasing body temperature in patients with post-spinal anesthesia hypothermia in the Recovery Room of RSU 'Aisyiyah Ponorogo. The method used is quasi-experimental with a one group pre-test and post-test design. Involving 19 respondents. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data were collected between December 7, 2024 and January 9, 2025. The results showed that the average body temperature before giving warm compresses (hotpacks) was 35.621°C, and after administration, it increased to 36.368°C. statistical test shows a p value = 0.000 which means there is a significant effect of giving warm compresses (hotpacks) on increasing body temperature. In conclusion, warm compresses (hotpacks) are effective in increasing the body temperature of patients with post-spinal anesthesia hypothermia.
