Hemodialysis can affect the quality of life of chronic kidney failure patients, especially with hemodialysis therapy will affect various aspects of life such as physiological, psychological, and socio-economic aspects. This not only affects oneself but also affects family and society. Family support is related to a person's quality of life. This is because a person's quality of life is a perception that is present in the abilities, limitations, symptoms and psychosocial characteristics of an individual's life both in a cultural environment and values in carrying out their roles and functions as they should. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and the quality of life of hemodialysis patients. The research design was correlational with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling by total sampling, a sample size of 65 routine hemodialysis patients. The research variables were family support and quality of life. The chi square statistical test used SPSS. The results showed that there was a relationship between family support and the quality of life of hemodialysis patients at the Wonogir Amal Sehat Hospital with a p-value of 0.002, which means less than α (0.05). If family support is good, then the quality of life will be good. Patients who receive support from their families will feel that their lives are still meaningful, still useful, and still needed by their families, so that patients will be enthusiastic in undergoing hemodialysis regularly.
