Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the financial performance of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk using the RGEC method for the years 2019–2023.The object of this research is PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. The RGEC method used in this study aims to describe the financial performance of the bank, covering Risk Profile (Non-Performing Loan and Loan to Deposit Ratio), Good Corporate Governance (self-assessment), Earnings (Return On Assets and Net Interest Margin), and Capital (Capital Adequacy Ratio). The RGEC measurement standards refer to the provisions stipulated in Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 13/1/PBI/2011 and Circular Letter No. 13/24/DPNP.

The results of the research show that: (1) The Risk Profile assessment of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, as proxied by the NPL ratio from 2019 to 2023, falls under the "healthy" category. Meanwhile, the LDR ratio from 2019 to 2023 is in the "fairly healthy" category. This indicates that the bank has demonstrated effective risk management and is capable of managing credit and liquidity risks well. (2) The Good Corporate Governance (GCG) assessment of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk for the years 2019–2023 is in the "healthy" category. This is reflected in the rating received, which is a level 2 rating, indicating that the company has successfully maintained good GCG practices in accordance with GCG principles and applicable Bank Indonesia regulations. (3) The Earnings assessment of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, as proxied by the ROA ratio from 2019 to 2023, falls into the "very healthy" category. This shows that the bank has performed well in generating profit relative to its total assets. Similarly, the NIM ratio from 2019 to 2023 is also in the "very healthy" category, indicating the bank's management capability in managing productive assets to generate stable net interest income. (4) The Capital assessment of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, as proxied by the CAR ratio from 2019 to 2023, falls into the "very healthy" category. This indicates that the bank has adequate capital to anticipate risks that may arise in its operations.
