This study aims to analyze the influence of teachers’ interactional teaching style and pedagogical competence on students’ learning interest in the Fiqh subject at SD Arrisalah. The research focuses on three main objectives: (1) to determine the significant influence of teachers’ interactional teaching style on students’ learning interest, (2) to determine the significant influence of teachers’ pedagogical competence on students’ learning interest, and (3) to examine the simultaneous influence of both variables on students’ learning interest. Learning interest in Fiqh among elementary school female students is often influenced by the teacher's approach in delivering lessons. An interactive and communicative teaching style, along with strong pedagogical competence, is believed to enhance student engagement and learning interest.
This study aims to describe the influence of teachers’ interactional teaching style and pedagogical competence on the learning interest of female students in the Fiqh subject at SD Arrisalah.
The research uses a quantitative method with data collected through research instruments. The population consists of all female students from grades 1 to 6 at SD Islam Arrisalah, while the sample includes female students from classes 5C and 5D.
Based on the analysis, the results show that the teacher’s interactional teaching style has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning interest, with a t-value of 3.485, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.026 (p < 0.05). In contrast, the teacher’s pedagogical competence does not have a significant effect, as indicated by a t-value of 0.947, which is lower than the t-table value (p > 0.05). Multiple regression analysis indicates that both interactional teaching style and pedagogical competence simultaneously have a significant effect on students’ learning interest, with an F-value of 16.855, higher than the F-table value of 3.250 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R) reveals that 69% of the variation in students’ learning interest can be explained by the two variables, while the remaining 31% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
