Abstract
ABSTRACT
IMPLEMENTATION OF WARM FOOT SOAK THERAPY TO LOWER BODY TEMPERATURE IN FEBRICULAR CHILDREN WITH HYPERTHERMIA NURSING PROBLEMS
(in the AR. Fahrudin Room, Muhammadiyah Ponorogo Hospital)
By : CINDI AMEILIA
Hyperthermia in febrile patients is a significant concern because it can disrupt a child's growth and development if left untreated and can lead to complications such as seizures and impaired consciousness. This case study aims to provide inpatient care for a febrile patient with hyperthermia.
Nursing care for An. F, a febrile patient with hyperthermia nursing problems in the AR - Fahrudin room, Muhammadiyah General Hospital, Ponorogo Regency, for 5 days on July 14-18, 2025. The method used was the nursing process approach.
The results of the patient's assessment showed an increase in body temperature of 38.10C, appearing pale, weak, and warm extremities. Interventions carried out to address these issues included using a therapeutic approach and providing warm water foot soak therapy. Then the results of the implementation that had been carried out on An. F were able to achieve outcome criteria such as: decreased pallor, decreased tachycardia, improved body temperature, improved skin temperature, so that after 5 days of implementation, An. R's development with hyperthermia nursing problems had been resolved.
The application of warm water foot soaks is expected to be a reference for nurses in treating Febrile patients with hyperthermia nursing problems.
