One of the causes of the erosion of character values in students is the rapid advancement of technology. Therefore, strengthening character education is a crucial aspect of national education. To support this, the Minister of Education and Culture has integrated the Pancasila Student Profile into the ministry's vision and mission as a primary foundation for realizing national education goals. Based on this background, this study aims to comprehensively describe the role of teachers in instilling character values through the implementation of P5.
This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) and the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers on the development of students' religious character at MTsS Madrasah Multi Prestasi Darul Ulum Grati, Pasuruan Regency. The research background stems from the phenomenon of declining religious character among students despite the school's strong religious culture. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population was all students at MTsS MMP Darul Ulum Grati in the 2025/2026 academic year, using a proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the partial and simultaneous effects of independent variables on the dependent variable.
This study recommends the need to strengthen the synergy between P5 and Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in a structured and sustainable manner, with a focus on fostering worship habits, strengthening morals, and spiritual development. These findings are expected to be a reference for schools, teachers, and policy makers in designing effective religious character education strategies in the era of globalization.
