NURSING CARE FOR ELDERLY PARENTS EXPERIENCING ACTIVITY AND REST DISORDERS WITH NURSING PROBLEMS OF FATIGUE
(Case Study at UPT Social Services Tresna Werdha Magetan)

Fatigue is a combination of mental and physical function decline that results in decreased work enthusiasm resulting in decreased work effectiveness and efficiency. This condition can cause various symptoms such as internal factors (age, gender, nutritional status, health status, and psychological condition), external factors. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to carry out nursing care for the elderly who experience impaired activity and rest with fatigue nursing problems. The method used is a case study with a nursing process approach including: assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
The results of the assessment showed that the client appeared lethargic, the client appeared easily tired, the client appeared to have difficulty falling asleep and waking up easily during sleep, the client appeared to have a hunched body. The nursing diagnosis that was established was nursing care for the elderly who experienced impaired activity and rest with nursing problems of fatigue related to sleep disorders. The implementation of nursing was carried out for 5 days starting on April 16, 2025. Actions included identifying activity and sleep patterns, identifying factors that interfere with sleep, identifying foods and drinks that interfere with sleep, modifying the environment, explaining the importance of getting enough sleep during illness. The results of the evaluation showed improvements, namely the client appeared less tired, the client was able to sleep. The nursing care provided has proven effective in overcoming fatigue.
