Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed conventional public relations communication practices into digital public relations, which are open, interactive, and participatory. Social media, especially TikTok, has become a
strategic platform for shaping public opinion and promoting local culinary tourism. This phenomenon is marked by the increasing role of food vloggers as communication agents who not only convey culinary information but also build
image and audience trust. This study aims to analyze the role of food vloggers as digital public relations agents in promoting local culinary tourism through the
@ponorogojalanjalan TikTok account for the period of October 2025. This study uses the digital public relations theory by Philips and Young, which consists of five elements: transparency, internet porosity, the internet as a communication agent, reach, and richness in content. This research employed a qualitative method with a
descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included digital observation of TikTok content, interviews with food vloggers, culinary entrepreneurs, active audiences or followers, and documentation. The results indicate that the TikTok account @ponorogojalanjalan has implemented an effective digital public relations
strategy through open and transparent information delivery, informative and engaging visual content, broad audience reach, and active two-way interaction with the audience. This strategy contributes to building a positive image, increasing awareness, and strengthening the promotion of Ponorogo's local culinary tourism.
