Labor absorption is the process of accepting the working-age population to fill available jobs. Ponorogo is one of the regencies in East Java that still experiences employment problems, namely unemployment. The highest unemployment rate in Ponorogo Regency in 2024 is 4.19% and is dominated by vocational high school graduates, this indicates that there is a mismatch between skills and labor market needs in Ponorogo Regency in 2024. This study aims to determine the effect of education level, job training, labor market demand and internships on labor absorption in Ponorogo Regency in 2024. The approach used in this study is quantitative with a survey method. The population in this study were all job training participants who graduated in 2024 from the Ponorogo Regency Job Training Center with a sample of 80 people using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire and was analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression. The results of this study indicate that job training and internships each have a significant partial effect on labor absorption in Ponorogo Regency in 2024. Education level and demand have no partial effect on labor absorption in Ponorogo Regency in 2024. Meanwhile, education level, job training, labor market demand, and internships simultaneously have a significant effect on labor absorption in Ponorogo Regency in 2024.
