Abstract

Internal communication plays an important role in shaping organizational culture, particularly in value-based higher education institutions. Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo adopts the values of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan as the foundation of its organizational governance, including internal communication practices. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic value-based internal communication in building an excellent organizational culture at Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo.This research employs a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and institutional documentation using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using Goldhaber’s seven concepts of organizational communication as the analytical framework.The findings indicate that Islamic value-based internal communication is implemented through symbolic, structural, and cultural practices that function as a medium for value internalization and organizational culture strengthening.
