Abstract

Introduction: The 2023 WHO Global Survey on Maternal and Perinatal Health showed that 46.1% of all births were carried out by CS method, in Indonesia based on data from the Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) in 2023, the prevalence of cesarean section was 25.9%. One of the biggest impacts of CS is the emergence of post-operative pain, the purpose of this study was to see the impact of the Application of Endorphin Massage using olive oil on post-Cesarean Section patients with acute pain nursing problems. Method: This study uses a descriptive case study design with a single case study on a sample of post-Caesarean Section patients with acute pain nursing problems with pain measurement using PQRST and Endorphin Massage therapy carried out once a day for 20 minutes for 5 days. Results: The application of endorphin massage on the first day showed insignificant results, the patient still felt pain on a scale of 6, the patient still seemed to endure the pain when moving. The results appeared significant on the third day where the patient's pain scale had decreased to 3, on the final day of the evaluation the patient still felt pain but on a scale of 2. Conclusion: This study observed a decrease in pain levels from day one to day five. However, because the patient still reported pain, albeit at a low level, the nursing care goals were not fully achieved. Therefore, the pain problem was not resolved, but good progress was made.
