The Ponorogo Regency Government comprises numerous government offices, including various
agencies, boards, and divisions. One such unit is the General Affairs Division of the Ponorogo
Regency Regional Secretariat, located on the first floor of the Graha Krida Praja Building in
Ponorogo Regency, East Java. This division serves as an operational unit within the Secretariat,
providing administrative support, office management, facilities and infrastructure management, and
general internal services to ensure the smooth operation of the local government. It plays a crucial
role in ensuring efficient, orderly, and coordinated government administration, particularly
regarding administrative tasks, facilities management, and the handling of internal affairs and
support facilities. Administrative duties include the periodic preparation of work accountability
reports—either monthly or upon the completion of specific tasks. Currently, the letter numbering
Process relies on manual recording in ledger books. Consequently, there is a pressing need for a
technological solution to enhance administrative services by improving the efficiency and speed of
number registration, facilitating archiving and tracking, bolstering data security and integrity, and
supporting reporting and analysis. Such technology can enable automated letter numbering and
generate monthly or annual reports. The application was developed using the Software Development
Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. The final product is the SIPS (Letter Numbering Information
System), which utilizes a Sequential Search algorithm. The application underwent testing using the
Black box testing method. Usability test results indicate that the developed application provides
Users with a novel experience and valuable information.
