Every school, even the ones in rural areas, needs to improve the quality of its education. In this case,
this study aims to analyze how the management of the principal can improve the quality of education
at MI Muhammadiyah 01 Simo Ponorogo, to assess the effects of that educational management on the
quality of education, and to explain the supporting factors in this process. This research employs
qualitative methods and utilizes qualitative descriptive analysis. The subjects of the study were the
principal, the vice principal in charge of the curriculum, and the teachers, who were chosen using
purposive sampling. Data collection was done through in depth interviews, observations, and
document reviews. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which
consists of three components: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while
triangulation was employed to test data validity. The results of the study show that the management of
MI Muhammadiyah 01 Simo Ponorogo's head teacher is good. It can be said that the management
cycle has been implemented using the PPEPP (Penetapan, Pelaksanaan, Evaluasi, Pengendalian, dan
Peningkatan) cycle approach. The head of school is in charge of setting up, coordinating, and
controlling the program, as well as letting everyone know about ongoing evaluations and
improvements, as well as growth in the process of professional teacher control.
