Abstract
The rapid advancement of digital technology, coupled with the expansion of supporting ecosystems such as co-working spaces and the proliferation of cafes equipped with high-speed internet, has revolutionized the work culture among the youth in Indonesia. Conventional work patterns have shifted toward a more dynamic landscape, emerging from initial models like Work From Home (WFH) into a full geographical autonomy through the concept of Work From Anywhere (WFA). This study aims to analyze how Flexible Working Hours (X1), Workload (X2), and Professionalism (X3) contribute to shaping the Work-Life Balance (Y) of fresh graduates in Indonesia who operate as remote workers. Utilizing a quantitative approach driven by Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were gathered from 570 respondents using cluster sampling across three regions characterized by robust digital ecosystems: DKI Jakarta, Bali, and East Java. The structural model evaluation reveals that flexible working hours, workload, and professionalism partially exert a positive and significant effect on enhancing the work-life balance of remote employees. These findings indicate that well-managed task demands can actually boost productivity while maintaining the personal equilibrium of fresh graduates. Simultaneously, the three exogenous variables contribute 49% to the variance of work-life balance. Ultimately, these cumulative results underscore the urgency of integrating adaptive organizational policies to sustain a remote working climate that supports the psychological well-being of the fresh graduate cohort.
