This research stems from the importance of strengthening students' religious character through education grounded in Qur'anic values. The *Tahfidz* program at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo is not solely aimed at achieving memorization targets but is also intended as a means to instill religious values ​​within the students. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Qur'an Memorization Program, identify factors supporting or hindering its implementation, and explain the program's contribution to shaping students' religious character at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo. The analysis of the program's implementation utilizes George C. Edward III's theory, while the aspect of religious character formation is analyzed based on Thomas Lickona's theory. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Research data were obtained from the school principal, the *Tahfidz* program coordinator, *Tahfidz* teachers or mentors, and students participating in the program. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Subsequently, the data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, which encompasses the stages of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. To ensure the validity of the research findings, data validity testing was conducted through source triangulation and technique triangulation. Research findings indicate that the implementation of the Quranic memorization (*Tahfidz*) program at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo has proceeded successfully, driven by effective communication, adequate resource support, a high level of commitment from implementers, and a supportive organizational structure—aligning with the framework proposed by George C. Edward III. The program is executed through activities such as *talaqqi* (direct recitation/instruction), *muroja'ah* (review), *tasmi'* (recitation before an audience), periodic evaluations, and the use of memorization monitoring logs. Supporting factors include institutional backing, facilities and infrastructure, parental involvement, and guidance from supervisors; conversely, obstacles include disparities in student ability, time constraints, and internal factors such as lethargy and drowsiness. The *Tahfidz* program plays a role in shaping students' religious character through the processes of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action—consistent with Thomas Lickona’s theory—as evidenced by improvements in discipline, responsibility, worship habits, moral conduct, and social awareness in daily life.
