Abstract

This study was conducted to develop the Krincing Nogiren Pelangi Dance as an alternative learning medium to support the stimulation of gross motor skills in children aged 5-6 years. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach by adapting the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The participants were Group B children aged 5-6 years. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and expert validation. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques to process expert validation scores and percentage analysis to determine children's gross motor skill achievement. Product feasibility was assessed by a material expert and a dance learning design expert. The results showed that the Krincing Nogiren Pelangi Dance was developed through the simplification of original dance movements, adjustment of performance duration, and the addition of props in the form of krincing, scarves, and colorful head accessories suitable for early childhood characteristics. Krincing Nogiren Pelangi Dance is considered feasible as an alternative learning medium to support the development of gross motor skills in children aged 5-6 years. This product also contributes to the development of local culture-based dance learning that is appropriate for early childhood characteristics and can be implemented in various early childhood education institutions as an engaging and contextual medium for gross motor skill stimulation.
