Abstract
Security officers play an important role in maintaining security, order, and safety in the workplace and within the community. In carrying out their duties, security officers are not only required to possess physical and technical skills but must also be able to manage their emotional conditions. Good emotional stability can help officers make appropriate decisions, communicate effectively, and handle conflict situations professionally. Conversely, unstable emotional conditions, such as stress, fatigue, anxiety, or irritability, can affect concentration, decision-making abilities, and the quality of security services. This paper aims to discuss the influence of security officers' emotional conditions on the performance of security duties and the factors that affect them. The method used is a literature review by examining various concepts related to emotions, work-related stress, self-control, and the implementation of security duties. The discussion shows that the ability to manage emotions is an important factor in supporting the professionalism of security officers. Therefore, mental development, stress management, effective communication, and a supportive work environment are necessary to enable officers to perform their duties optimally.
