Abstract
Aging is the final period in human life where a person begins to experience changes in his life including changes in physiological functions, psychological changes and changes in cognitive function. The aging process affects the body's functions and systems which can cause problems in the elderly. One of the problems that arise is disturbed sleep patterns / insomnia. The preparation of this scientific paper uses the problem solving method of the nursing process approach. The selection of patients in the preparation of this scientific paper used a questionnaire Insomnia Rating Scale (Psychiatric Biology Study Group Jakarta, 2009). After nursing care was carried out for 7x24 hours, the results showed that the overall problem was partially resolved. The criteria for the results that have been achieved are: complaints of decreased sleeplessness, complaints of frequent decreased wakefulness, complaints of decreased sleep dissatisfaction, complaints of decreased sleep patterns, complaints of insufficient rest decreased, increased ability to move. The outcome criteria have been achieved but the intervention is still carried out by the client independently even though the results of this nursing care have partially achieved the quality and quantity of sleep that is quite good.
