Advisors: (1) Dr.Diyah Atiek Mustikawati, M.Hum, (2) Siti Asiyah, M.Pd Keywords : English Language Teaching, Problem-Based Learning (PBL) English language teaching in Indonesia has been introduced since Early Childhood Education (PAUD), Elementary School (SD), Junior High School (SMP), Senior High School (SMA), and Higher Education (University). According to current needs, teaching English is very important and needs to be taught to students. Therefore, to attract students' interest in learning English, teachers need to apply the Problem Based Learning model. The purposes of this study was to explain the analysis of how to implementation Problem Based Learning, the perceptions or responses of students, and to describe students learning outcomeabout implementation PBL model in teaching English at SMAN 1 Ponorogo. In this study useda qualitative methods, with guidelines on descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were class X students and English teachers. The research was conducted on 16 and 24 May 2023. Based on the study's findings, the researcher discovered that the teacher at SMAN 1 Ponorogo used problem-based learning to teach English. The teacher did this by dividing the class into groups and using genre text materials like description, recount, exposition, and procedure texts. The students' perceptions or responses to the use of problem-based learning was very positive, and it enhanced their drive to learn English. The implementation of problem-based learning has improved student learning outcomes in English subjects, which previously had a class average of 69.2 and have now reached to 79.86. Because the student score is 75, it has already fullfilled the requirerment.
