Abstract
This Study aims to Know and describe how to implement basic literacy to stimulate language skills in young children at Kindergarten Kusuma Bangsa 02 Tambakmas. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with the research sample being group A children and group A class teachers at TK Kusuma Bangsa 02 Tambakmas, Kebonsari, Madiun. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. The instruments used for data collection were observation for teachers and children, and interview sheets for school principals, group A class teachers and 5 children who were the samples in this study. Data analysis techniques using documentation analysis. The results of the study show that the implementation of basic literacy in the form of literacy, numeracy, storytelling literacy and love of books has a good impact on stimulating language skills in early childhood. Besides being able to increase vocabulary, children are also able to solve problems and think critically. Keywords: Basic Literacy, Language Ability, Teacher Obstacles And Challenges
