Supervisor (I) Dr. Ayok Ariyanto, M. Pd.I and supervisor (II) Nurul Abidim, M. Ed. Keywords: Tazkiyatun nafs, Moral education, Ibn Atha'illah. Moral education in the current era must again be prioritized properly, seeing the lack of morals possessed by the younger generation now, especially in the application and also the process of moral development carried out. So it is very necessary before moral development is the process of tazkiyatun nafs or purification of the soul, by knowing, learning, and also practicing this takiyatun nafs, the younger generation will be easier to be directed in the process of moral development carried out both in the school, family, and environment. general public. The purpose of this tazkiyatun nafs is to purify one's soul in treading the path to get closer to Allah which will be in line with the goal of moral education to form a person who is obedient to Allah and also has noble character. This study aims to determine the concept of tazkiyatun nafs as a method in moral education according to Ibn Atha'illah and to know the relevance of the concept of tazkiyatun nafs in moral education in schools. This type of research is library research, where the approach taken in this research is philosophical which is a search for the nature of things, and seeks harmony between cause and effect so that it is possible to solve actual problems by collecting data, compiling or classifying, and analyzing for reach a conclusion. From this study it can be concluded: (1) the concept of tazkiyatun nafs in moral education according to Ibn Atha'illah, aims to achieve perfection and perfect happiness in the life of the world and the hereafter by forming a person with noble character, (2) from the concept of tazkiyatun nafs offered by Ibnu Atha'illah is in line with the goals of national education as stated in Law No. 20 of 2003 Article 3 which reads "National education functions to develop capabilities and shape the character and civilization of a dignified nation in the context of educating the nation's life, aiming to develop the potential of participants to become human beings who believe and fear God Almighty, have noble character, are healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent, and become democratic and responsible citizens. The goal is also to get closer to God and make humans have noble character.
