Abstract
The Millennial generation is often seen as carrying negative values. Because they are too busy keeping up with the times, some of them often neglect Islamic principles in their daily lives. Therefore, the NDO community organizes the Ngopi Senja activity to accompany their journey of religious transformation. The purpose of this research is (1) to describe the Islamic education strategies of the NDO community in Trenggalek Regency for the religiosity of the millennial generation through Ngopi Senja, and (2) to understand the implications of the activities of the NDO community in Trenggalek Regency on Islamic education and the religiosity attitudes of the millennial generation through Ngopi Senja.
This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach, which involves collecting data through interviews with the committee and participants of the activity, direct observation of the Ngopi Senja activity, and documentation in the form of pictures and documents related to the research focus. The data analysis method in this research follows the steps outlined by Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to find the best results.
The results of this research are as follows. (1) The Islamic education strategy used in the Ngopi Senja activity to enhance the religiosity of the millennial generation is packaged through several stages, namely: (a) planning, consisting of formulating objectives, determining targets, themes, speakers, as well as facilities and infrastructure; (b) implementation, consisting of the relevance of the material to the target problematics by utilizing digital technology; and (c) activity evaluation conducted through comparing the performance of the targets and monitoring through face-to-face and online interactions; and (2) the implications of the activity strategy used by the NDO community in the Ngopi Senja activity have successfully increased Islamic education and the religiosity attitudes of the millennial generation with the following elaboration: (a) Islamic education, including aspects of understanding, focusing on listening to what the speakers convey; internalization, by reflecting on oneself; and implementation, by applying Islamic values; and (b) religiosity attitudes, including aspects of belief, by strengthening faith in Allah, overcoming doubts or uncertainties, and reinforcing commitment to religious teachings; religious practices, in the form of being more diligent in worship; and ethics and morality, in the form of inner peace in facing all situations by following the tips provided by the speakers.
