The Relationship between the Use of E-RM and Patient Satisfaction in the Multazam Room of Dr. Sutomo Ponorogo Hospital Aisyiah

Abstract: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems are computerized health information systems that store patient demographics and medical data, aiming to enhance care quality and patient satisfaction while reducing errors and improving data access. The implementation of EMR presents opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare services but also poses challenges related to traditional, paper-based medical records. In response to these issues, RSUD dr. Soeratno Gemolong has committed to adopting an EMR system to enhance service quality in health care. This study initiates an investigation into the relationship between EMR use and patient satisfaction at RSU Aisyiah dr. Soetomo in Ponorogo, particularly in the high-demand Multazam room. EMR systems facilitate rapid and precise patient data access, thereby aiding in accurate diagnosis and timely treatment, and potentially reducing wait times. Furthermore, EMR enhances communication between patients and healthcare providers, allowing patients to engage actively in their care and improving overall satisfaction. Data analysis suggests that the transition to digital records offers significant potential in enhancing patient satisfaction by improving service quality and operational efficiency. Despite no specific regulations governing EMR in Indonesia, existing legislation supports its implementation. This study utilizes a quantitative correlation research design, collecting data through surveys from both patients and healthcare practitioners. The findings aim to confirm the positive impact of EMR usage on patient satisfaction levels, guided by established operational criteria and service standard
