Abstract
Vidya Mustika. 2025. Pengembangan Kurikulum Pesantren Mahasiswa (Studi Kasus di Pesma Al Manar Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo dan Mahad Al Jamiah Ulil Abshar IAIN Ponorogo). Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam. Fakultas Agama Islam. Pembimbing (I) Dr. Rido Kurnianto, M.Ag.; dan (II) Dr. Syamsul Arifin, M.Pd.The development of student pesantren curriculum is a strategic effort to shape students’ character, spirituality, and competence based on Islamic values through the strengthening of a religious environment in higher education. Student pesantren serves as a non-formal educational forum that integrates the pesantren curriculum with the university curriculum to create harmony between academic development and moral guidance. This study aims to describe the process of developing the student pesantren curriculum, its implementation strategies, as well as its supporting and inhibiting factors at Pesma Al Manar, Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo, and Mahad Al Jamiah Ulil Abshar, IAIN Ponorogo.
This research employs a qualitative case study approach with data collection techniques consisting of in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using the Miles and Huberman model.
The results of this study are as follows: (1) The development of the student pesantren curriculum is arranged based on the institution’s vision and mission, with emphasis on worship habituation programs, Qur’anic study circles (halaqah), classical Islamic book studies, as well as character and leadership development of students. (2) Curriculum development strategies are carried out through joint program planning, regular supervision and evaluation, as well as improving the competence of musrif/musrifah (student mentors) to ensure program sustainability. (3) Supporting factors for curriculum development include leadership commitment, a religious environment, and synergy with the university, while inhibiting factors consist of limited facilities and infrastructure as well as the heavy academic workload of students at the university.
