ABSRACT

This study was conducted to create and analyze the structure of promotional posters for aqua therapy as a synergistic visual communication medium for conveying messages about maintaining a healthy lifestyle in adulthood and old age. The approach used was a qualitative descriptive method with semiotic analysis techniques to determine the denotative and connotative meanings of visual elements such as layout, images, typography, and color. The poster was designed to be simple and fresh, emphasizing a clean, relaxed, and healthy impression. The main audience of this poster is adult women to the elderly who need to maintain their health amid their busy activities. The main photos for the poster were taken using an iPhone 7 Plus, and the poster was edited using the Canva application. The conclusion of this study is that poster design can convey health messages in a communicative and persuasive manner, and have a positive impact on aqua therapy services at the Legowo swimming pool. This means that visual communication design plays an important role in supporting product promotion as well as educating the public about maintaining physical health in adulthood to old age.
